Overview

This position offers the opportunity to work across financial, operational, and strategic workstreams within a fast‑paced consulting environment. As an Associate, you'll partner directly with senior leaders and client teams to address complex business challenges ranging from due diligence and value creation to transformation, restructuring, and M&A-related processes.

You'll manage discrete workstreams, contribute to high-impact initiatives, and help drive meaningful outcomes for clients. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high‑performance culture and wants to play a key role in the growth of a rapidly scaling advisory firm.


Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior leaders and client stakeholders to tackle financial and operational challenges related to due diligence, value creation, transformation initiatives, restructuring, and M&A/capital markets processes.
  • Analyze financial statements and operational metrics, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, debt schedules, and KPIs.
  • Build advanced financial models such as three‑statement forecasts, 13‑week cash flows, discounted cash flows, LBOs, accretion/dilution models, and value creation frameworks.
  • Support specialized workstreams including-but not limited to-bankruptcy preparation, liquidity analyses, vendor reviews, KPI development, incentive plan design, workforce analytics, general ledger reviews, S&OP, organizational design, go‑to‑market strategy, and business process optimization.
  • Create high‑impact presentations and reporting materials (e.g., dashboards, performance updates, investor/board materials).
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Contribute to internal training, methodology development, and best‑practice sharing.
  • Support business development efforts and client relationship management.
  • Assist with talent acquisition, firm‑building activities, and cultural initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from a competitive undergraduate program.
  • Based in or willing to relocate to Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, or New York.
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative, team-based environment with a hybrid in-office schedule (4 days/week) and travel to client sites as needed.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in investment banking or private equity.
  • Formal training in financial modeling from a top-tier institution or firm.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain financial models, KPI dashboards, and complex analytical work-or the capability to ramp quickly.
  • Strong communication skills and executive presence.
  • Demonstrated success operating within lean, fast‑moving teams.
  • High attention to detail, responsiveness, and an ownership mindset.
  • Track record of excelling in high-pressure, client-facing settings.
