Overview

A growing institutional real estate investment platform is seeking a Senior Analyst to support the asset management and portfolio oversight of a diversified real estate investment portfolio. This individual will work closely with asset management, investments, portfolio management, and operating partners to evaluate asset performance, execute value creation initiatives, and support strategic decision-making across the investment lifecycle.

The role offers broad exposure to asset management, portfolio analytics, acquisitions support, valuations, capital planning, and investor reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the day-to-day asset management of a portfolio of commercial real estate investments.
  • Analyze operating and financial performance, identify trends, and communicate key findings to internal stakeholders.
  • Assist in the development and execution of property-level business plans and strategic initiatives.
  • Prepare recurring investment reports, portfolio updates, and asset-level performance analyses.
  • Monitor property operations, leasing activity, capital expenditures, and market fundamentals.
  • Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range business planning processes.
  • Conduct financial modeling, cash flow analysis, and scenario modeling to support investment decisions.
  • Participate in the evaluation of acquisitions, developments, recapitalizations, and disposition opportunities.
  • Perform due diligence related to investments, including financial statement reviews, property operating metrics, lease analysis, market research, and third-party reports.
  • Support valuation efforts through internal underwriting, hold/sell analysis, and review of third-party appraisals.
  • Maintain investment models, portfolio analytics, and valuation databases.
  • Collaborate with property management, leasing, development, accounting, and capital markets teams.
  • Prepare materials for investment committee discussions, portfolio reviews, and investor reporting.
  • Assist with special projects, strategic initiatives, and ad hoc analyses as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Approximately 1-4 years of relevant real estate experience within asset management, portfolio management, acquisitions, investments, valuation, or related functions.
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Experience with ARGUS Enterprise preferred.
  • Ability to analyze complex financial and operational data and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently when needed.
  • Exposure to residential, multifamily, student housing, senior housing, affordable housing, or other commercial real estate asset classes is a plus.
