Analyst/Associate - M&A Advisory
We're currently partnered with an elite boutique investment bank in Hong Kong seeking to add an M&A analyst or associate to their team. This position will be based out of their Hong Kong office and will be responsible to support the team on deal origination and execution across Greater China.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis, valuation modelling (DCF, LBO, trading/transaction comps), and due diligence support.
- Prepare client presentations, pitch books, and marketing materials in both English and Chinese.
- Support deal execution from origination to closing, including coordination with legal, accounting, and other advisors.
- Perform industry and company research to identify potential acquisition targets or strategic buyers.
- Assist in the preparation of internal investment committee materials and transaction documentation.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, regulatory developments, and key players in Greater China.
Requirements:
- Solid education background attained from reputable institutions in related majors.
- Strong track record working within investment banking especially on execution of cross-border M&A transactions.
- Strong understanding and experience in financial modelling (DCF, LBO, 3-statement, etc.), valuation, as well as conducting due diligence within transactions.
- Excellent proficiency in written and spoken Mandarin and English; ability in also speaking Cantonese will be preferred.
- Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
