Accounting Supervisor

Position Summary

Seeking an Accounting Supervisor to oversee daily accounting operations with a primary focus on Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring accurate transaction processing, supporting month-end close activities, and maintaining compliance with accounting policies in a dynamic, growth-oriented manufacturing environment.

This position is fully onsite.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accounting processes, procedures, and documentation to support consistency and accuracy across the accounting function.
  • Supervise Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, collections, and related transactions.
  • Serve as a resource for the accounting team, providing guidance on transaction processing, issue resolution, and accounting best practices.
  • Assist with oversight of AP operations and provide support during periods of increased workload.
  • Review and post journal entries while ensuring compliance with US GAAP and internal policies.
  • Manage accounting activities related to payroll, fixed assets, inventory, and other balance sheet accounts.
  • Support month-end close activities, financial reporting, and ad hoc analysis for leadership.
  • Assist with internal and external audit requests and maintain accurate supporting documentation.
  • Help prioritize team workload and contribute to the development and training of accounting staff.
  • Partner cross-functionally with operations, procurement, human resources, and other business leaders to support organizational objectives and resolve accounting matters.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing, distribution, or multi-entity environment.
  • Strong experience with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes.
  • Solid understanding of US GAAP and accrual-based accounting principles.
  • Experience with month-end close and account reconciliations.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis.
  • Experience working with ERP systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Preferred

  • CPA, CMA, ACCA, or similar professional certification.
  • Experience within manufacturing, consumer products, distribution, or other operationally focused industries.
  • Previous supervisory, lead, or mentoring experience.
  • Experience supporting multiple locations, business units, or entities.
  • Proven ability to drive process improvements, automation, and operational efficiencies.
