Accounting Manager
On behalf of a rapidly expanding financial technology firm, we are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead and scale the finance function for their trading hub in Amsterdam. This is a pivotal role for a detail-oriented and proactive finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced, international environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure financial records are complete, accurate, and compliant with local and international accounting standards (IFRS).
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
- Oversee general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, tax filings, and payroll operations.
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes.
- Monitor and manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity planning.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations across the EU and UK.
- Collaborate with external auditors, tax advisors, and internal stakeholders.
- Support strategic decision-making with financial insights and analysis.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in bookkeeping and accounting.
- Strong understanding of IFRS and EU/UK financial regulations.
- Proven experience in managing financial operations and reporting.
- Proficiency in financial software; NetSuite experience is a significant advantage.
- Excellent communication skills in English; Dutch language skills are a bonus.
- Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
