This networking team focuses on building hyperscale data center networking solutions by integrating cutting-edge technologies such as network architecture, software-defined networking (SDN), network virtualization, switch software and hardware co-design, and high-speed networking. These solutions support large-scale applications serving hundreds of millions of users globally. The team is responsible for designing, building, and operating a global, intelligent network infrastructure that meets high standards of availability, scalability, and performance. Joining this team offers valuable experience in software development and network operations at massive scale.

Role Overview
The Software Development Engineer for Network Monitoring & Alerts will work on advanced network technologies to monitor real-time data center network status, detect and locate faults quickly, and improve overall network availability and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and enhance network monitoring services for data centers, including tools for data collection, processing, and visualization.
  • Develop alert systems using machine learning algorithms for real-time anomaly detection and fault localization.
  • Collaborate with network engineers to build automated fault diagnosis systems and provide analytical support for troubleshooting.
  • Build a network data platform based on metadata to deliver real-time metrics reflecting network health and trends.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering; advanced degrees with networking research experience are a plus.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, C++, Python) and ability to understand code written by others.
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in network monitoring and alert systems.
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols and the TCP/IP stack.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Practical or research experience in network monitoring and alert systems, with a solid foundation in big data processing.
  • Familiarity with switch monitoring technologies such as Telemetry, SNMP, Syslog, sFlow, ERSPAN, INT, etc.
