Overview
A well‑established, Chicago‑based financial services and advisory firm is seeking an experienced Investment Banking Vice President with exposure to the healthcare sector. This role involves leading transaction execution, managing client relationships, overseeing junior team members, and contributing to business development efforts across middle‑market M&A and strategic advisory engagements.
Responsibilities
- Lead execution of buy‑side, sell‑side, and capital‑raising transactions across healthcare subsectors, including management of all analytical workstreams.
- Oversee financial models, valuation analyses, industry research, and due diligence, ensuring accuracy and high‑quality output.
- Manage preparation of marketing materials such as pitchbooks, CIMs, management presentations, and board‑level deliverables.
- Serve as a primary client contact, providing guidance, strategic insights, and market perspectives tailored to the healthcare industry.
- Support new business development initiatives by assisting with pitches, relationship‑building, and identification of future opportunities.
- Coordinate communication and workflow among clients, attorneys, accountants, lenders, and internal team members to ensure smooth transaction processes.
- Mentor and develop analysts and associates, offering guidance on technical skills, communication, and professional growth.
- Maintain strong understanding of healthcare trends, regulatory developments, reimbursement dynamics, consolidation themes, and investor activity.
- Contribute to internal knowledge sharing, sector insights, and firmwide best practices.
Qualifications
- 5-8+ years of investment banking experience, including exposure to healthcare transactions.
- Proven ability to independently lead transaction processes from start to finish.
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and client‑facing presence.
- Demonstrated leadership experience with junior team members.
- Bachelor's degree required.
