Our client is a globally recognized real estate group with a strong presence across Europe and North America. We are currently supporting their search for an Asset Accountant to join their Northern European finance team. This position is based in the Amstelveen area and offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic, multicultural environment with a strong focus on collaboration and innovation.
About the Role
As an Asset Accountant, you will be part of a regional accounting team responsible for managing financial operations across Dutch assets and corporate entities. You'll play a key role in quarterly reporting, asset accounting, and supporting complex financial transactions such as restructurings and mergers.
Key Responsibilities
Asset accounting for a major commercial property
Accounting for corporate (holding) entities
Quarterly reporting for group consolidation purposes
Supporting audits and financial reviews
Handling restructurings (investments, disinvestments, joint ventures)
Liaising with consolidation teams and managing service charge accounting
Participating in SAP S/4HANA implementation and Record-to-Report projects
Supporting tax and complex accounting topics (e.g., mergers, liquidations)
Your Profile
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
3+ years of experience in accounting
Strong knowledge of IFRS and Dutch GAAP
Proficient in SAP and Excel
Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English
Strong analytical skills and ability to meet deadlines
Experience in real estate is a plus
