SIU Manager

Position Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned and strategic SIU Manager to lead our Special Investigations Unit in Phoenix, Arizona. This role is critical in driving fraud prevention, detection, and investigation efforts across our P&C lines of business. The ideal candidate will bring deep investigative expertise, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record of managing complex fraud cases in the insurance industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of SIU investigators and analysts across multiple lines of business (e.g., auto, property, commercial).
• Oversee the intake, triage, and assignment of suspicious claims for investigation.
• Develop and implement fraud detection strategies, leveraging data analytics and industry best practices.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including timely reporting to Departments of Insurance.
• Collaborate with internal departments (Claims, Legal, Underwriting) and external partners (law enforcement, NICB, vendors).
• Prepare and present investigative findings to senior leadership and legal counsel.
• Monitor and report on SIU performance metrics and fraud trends.
• Provide training and guidance to claims staff on fraud awareness and referral protocols.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 10 years of experience in insurance fraud investigations, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of P&C insurance products and claims processes.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements for SIU operations (e.g., NAIC Model Act, state-specific mandates).
• Experience working with fraud detection tools, case management systems, and data analytics platforms.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Insurance, or related field; advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., CIFI, FCLS, CPCU) preferred.
