About the Role
We are partnering with a top-tier hedge fund to hire a Risk Manager who will oversee day-to-day risk management for volatility and options activities across Asia. This is a high-impact role where you will act as the primary owner of the business from a risk perspective, working closely with senior stakeholders and traders.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee risk management for volatility and options portfolios across Asia.
- Serve as the go-to advisor for the Head of Risk Vol, Head of Risks Asia, and Head of Trading Asia on material risk topics.
- Engage with traders, senior risk managers, quants, and COO teams on portfolio risk, market events, governance, and process improvements.
- Design and calibrate new risk limits and frameworks.
- Leverage internal risk tools and analytics; enhance or develop bespoke dashboards where needed.
- Support global risk initiatives and ensure alignment with firm-wide standards.
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Engineering, or similar quantitative discipline.
- Prior experience in options & derivatives (trading or risk), ideally with APAC market exposure.
- Strong quantitative background and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with exceptional attention to detail.
- Intellectual curiosity and a drive for innovation.
- Excellent communication skills for interaction with traders and senior management.
