Our client is a leading quantitative hedge fund seeking a Site Reliability Engineer in London with a focus on using technology and data to formulate their investment portfolio. They use a wide range of principles which include data and technology to help solve the complex problems they face.
They are seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to help drive system design and reliability principles. This will in turn help to scale and evolve their already high-performance trading platform. You will help build tools which support the speed and reliability on which the business uses. This role therefore requires strong Python skills and an understanding of systems design along with reliability principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaboration between teams to help build and improve upon already existing platforms
- Create an automative control system for operations, monitoring purposes, deployment and incident response
- Lead the incident response team along with improving the current systems via post mortems and root cause analysis
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree, ideally in Computer Science or a strongly related field
- Python programming skills
- Experience with Linux/Unix systems in an production environments
- Track record in the design and delivery of scalable systems ideally in production environments
- Knowledge of optimisation and monitoring tools such as Grafana or Prometheus is desirable but not essential
