Senior Quant Trader (MFT/HFT) - Build a Trading Business
We are partnering with a well-capitalised proprietary trading firm seeking an experienced Senior Quant Trader to establish and lead a new systematic trading business.
This is a rare opportunity to build a trading operation from the ground up with significant backing, strategic freedom, and a competitive PnL participation structure. The firm will provide the capital, technology budget, and resources; you will own the strategy, infrastructure, and growth of the business.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement proprietary MFT/HFT trading strategies.
- Build and manage trading infrastructure, data feeds, and execution loops.
- Take full ownership of the trading operation, from strategy development through to implementation and performance.
- Manage risk within a low-risk, high-turnover, intraday trading framework.
- Work closely with technology teams to enhance trading systems and execution capabilities.
- Recruit, mentor, and lead traders to grow the business.
- Partner directly with senior leadership to shape the long-term direction of the trading business.
Requirements
- Proven track record of generating profitable PnL within an MFT or HFT environment.
- Demonstrated ability to build trading strategies, infrastructure, and processes independently.
- Experience running low-risk, high-turnover intraday strategies with no overnight risk.
- Strong programming skills in Python and/or C++.
- Background within a proprietary trading firm, market maker, or quantitative trading business.
- Degree in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, or Statistics.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
