Senior Product Manager - API Strategy & Data Licensing

We're partnering with a leading financial technology provider that powers enterprise clients through API-driven delivery of market data and financial content. Their solutions are embedded by institutional investors, fintech platforms, brokers, and data aggregators to enable real-time insights and compliant distribution at scale. This is an opportunity to join a team that is shaping how financial information flows across the industry-combining technical innovation with commercial impact.

The Role

The Senior Product Manager will own the strategy and execution for a portfolio of licensed APIs consumed by external partners. This role requires a mix of product leadership, technical fluency, and commercial acumen-turning customer use cases and usage analytics into decisions that drive adoption, reliability, and revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end lifecycle for API products: strategy, roadmap, launch, and optimization.
  • Define packaging and pricing inputs aligned with revenue goals and compliance requirements.
  • Translate enterprise and developer needs into clear PRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Partner with Engineering to deliver scalable, well-documented APIs with versioning and deprecation strategies.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Partnerships on enterprise deals, technical diligence, and licensing terms.
  • Work with Legal/Compliance to embed entitlements and redistribution controls into product workflows.
  • Track and report KPIs: API usage, latency, uptime, error rates, revenue contribution, retention, and customer satisfaction.
  • Enhance developer experience through documentation, onboarding guides, and change communication.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years in Product Management with direct ownership of API or B2B SaaS products.
  • Experience with data/content licensing or financial information products.
  • Technical fluency with REST APIs, authentication (OAuth, API keys), and integration workflows.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with Engineering, Sales, and Legal/Compliance.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills; comfortable with KPI-driven decisions.

Preferred Experience

  • Background in financial media, market data, fintech, or capital markets.
  • Familiarity with licensing models, enterprise contracts, and usage-based pricing.
  • Experience supporting sales-led growth and participating in RFPs, security reviews, and QBRs.
  • Ownership of API versioning/deprecation, SLAs, and developer ecosystem initiatives.

If your qualifications match the above, don't hesitate to apply here for consideration!
