Salary: $130,000 - 160,000
Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Lead Field Underwriter to join their growing Middle Market team. This is a high-impact role ideal for someone who thrives on building strong broker relationships, leading underwriting strategy in the field, and shaping profitable growth across key commercial segments.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the primary underwriting expert and market-facing leader within the assigned territory
- Evaluate, select, and price middle market commercial risks while maintaining strong underwriting discipline
- Partner closely with agents and brokers to drive new business opportunities and strengthen distribution relationships
- Provide coaching, support, and technical guidance to underwriting team members
- Identify trends and deliver territory insights to influence portfolio strategy
- Represent our client at industry events, agency meetings, and key market engagements
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, analytics, risk control, and claims to deliver a cohesive customer experience
