Senior Accountant
We are looking for a skilled Accountant to join our team in Miami to support a growing Bitcoin treasury company that currently holds ~$3bn in assets and is looking to expand its US presence. The ideal candidate should have an understanding of both corporate and investment accounting principals and methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Oversee and maintain the organization's financial records, including preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and periodic reports
- Record and manage cryptocurrency activity, specifically Bitcoin holdings and transactions
- Perform reconciliations for digital asset wallets, custodial platforms, and exchange accounts
- Contribute to monthly and quarterly closing activities
- Assist in compiling financial statements along with detailed supporting documentation
- Liaise with external auditors and tax professionals as needed
- Utilize accounting platforms such as QuickBooks or similar tools to maintain accurate records
Digital Asset Treasury Management
- Track, document, and monitor Bitcoin-related movements, including transfers and acquisitions
- Maintain up-to-date records of wallet holdings and transaction history
- Support relationships and coordination with custodians and trading platforms
- Assist with internal reporting and oversight of digital asset positions
Governance, Risk & Compliance
- Keep thorough transaction documentation and internal records
- Support the execution and monitoring of internal control frameworks
- Assist in ensuring compliance with regulations and requirements tied to digital asset activities
- Prepare and maintain documentation for audits and regulatory reviews
Operational & Strategic Support
- Partner closely with the CFO on treasury management and operational projects
- Coordinate efforts across internal departments and with external vendors or advisors
- Contribute to identifying efficiencies and improving operational workflows
