SCF - VP Capital Distribution
An international financial institution is seeking an experienced professional to join its Working Capital Distribution function. The position sits within a diverse, fast‑moving environment and supports the organisation's broader mission of enabling sustainable growth while serving a global corporate client base. The successful candidate will contribute to the development and execution of distribution strategies for a wide spectrum of working capital and trade‑related assets.
Responsibilities
Transaction Distribution & Structuring
- Manage the distribution of various working capital assets, including supply chain finance, receivables, inventory, prepayment structures and other trade‑related instruments.
- Design transaction‑specific distribution strategies, select suitable investors, determine sale allocations and prepare associated term sheets.
- Negotiate commercial and structural terms with external investors and internal stakeholders to ensure optimal pricing and risk transfer outcomes.
Execution & Deal Closure
- Oversee the completion of legal documentation, acting as a liaison between internal functions and external legal counsel while providing commercial input throughout.
- Ensure the smooth closing of transactions, including investor onboarding, funding coordination and execution of participation documents.
Investor Management & Market Development
- Maintain and continuously update investor records, including call reports and documentation archives.
- Build and nurture a strong investor network to support benchmarking, identify new participation opportunities and expand distribution capacity.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external investors to originate, evaluate and execute new participation and risk‑transfer opportunities.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Work with structuring teams to understand underlying transaction mechanics and accurately position complex structures to investors.
- Partner with senior management, risk, legal, compliance and front‑office teams to ensure alignment across the deal lifecycle.
Requirements
Experience & Expertise
- 5-7 years of experience within financial services, including at least three years focused on the structuring or distribution of working capital or trade finance solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to pitch transactions to financial institutions and cross‑sell complementary products.
- Strong proficiency in interpreting financial statements and undertaking credit risk analysis.
- Hands‑on experience with structuring or distributing assets such as supply chain finance, receivables, inventory finance, prepayment structures, securitisation and related funding solutions.
- Effective communicator capable of managing multiple stakeholders across various organisational levels.
- Strong organisational and analytical skills with the capability to manage several workstreams simultaneously.
- Strategic mindset, sound judgement and the ability to deliver under tight deadlines.
- Awareness of market trends, investor appetite and emerging risks relevant to the working capital and trade finance landscape.
