About the Role
The Risk Control Manager will act as a strategic partner to clients by helping them proactively manage risk, improve safety performance, and implement effective loss prevention strategies. This individual will collaborate with underwriting and key stakeholders to support account retention, profitability, and long-term client relationships while delivering high-value consulting services.
Key Responsibilities
- Consult with clients on risk management, safety, and loss prevention initiatives.
- Analyze loss trends and claims data to identify exposures and develop recommendations.
- Partner with underwriting teams to support account strategy and profitable growth.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with insureds, brokers, and internal stakeholders.
- Lead risk control engagements and provide technical guidance on complex exposures.
- Deliver presentations, training sessions, and thought leadership content to clients and industry groups.
- Utilize data analytics and industry trends to support risk management decisions.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of risk control, loss control, safety consulting, or related experience.
- Strong communication, presentation, and client relationship management skills.
- Experience analyzing loss data and developing risk mitigation strategies.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple business units.
- Experience working with large or complex commercial accounts is preferred.
- Professional designations such as CSP, ARM, ARM-P, CRM, or similar certifications are a plus.
- Public entity, casualty, workers' compensation, or enterprise risk management experience is beneficial.
