Private Equity Associate
Overview
A private equity firm is seeking to add an Associate to its investment team. The Associate will play a key role in evaluating new investment opportunities, conducting financial analysis and due diligence, supporting transaction execution, and working closely with portfolio companies. This position offers significant exposure to all aspects of the investment lifecycle across a diverse range of industries.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and execute investment opportunities across various sectors
- Build detailed financial models (LBO, operating models, return analyses) to support investment decisions
- Conduct commercial, financial, and operational diligence, including market research and competitive analysis
- Assist in the structuring and negotiation of transactions
- Support portfolio companies through performance tracking, strategic initiatives, and value creation efforts
- Prepare investment memos and present findings to senior team members and the investment committee
Qualifications
- 2-4 years of investment banking or buy-side experience
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skillset
- Demonstrated interest in technology investing and private markets
- Experience working on live transactions and managing diligence processes
- Excellent communication skills and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor's degree with strong academic performance
