We are working with our client, a leading player in the commodities sector, who is looking to add an experienced Oil Derivatives Trader to our client's team in Prague. This is a permanent position focused on trading crude oil and refined products, as well as related financial derivatives. You will play a key role in driving commercial performance, analysing global oil markets, managing risk exposures and collaborating closely with internal stakeholders to optimise trading strategies and results.
Key Responsibilities & Skills
- Commodities & Oil Trading - Execute trading strategies across crude oil and refined products, ensuring timely, efficient and profitable trades in line with market opportunities.
- Oil Derivatives & Financial Products - Trade oil-linked financial derivatives to hedge risk, express market views and enhance returns within defined risk limits.
- Market Analysis - Monitor global oil markets, fundamentals and price movements to identify trading opportunities and inform positions.
- Risk Management - Actively manage market, credit and liquidity risk on the trading book, ensuring positions are aligned with risk appetite and controls.
- P&L Ownership - Take responsibility for the profitability of your book, tracking performance and optimising trades to maximise P&L.
- Collaboration & Teamwork - Work closely with analysts, risk, operations and other members of our client's team in Prague and the Czech Republic to ensure seamless execution and strategy alignment.
