Role: Junior Associate - U.S. Restaurants
We are seeking a Junior Associate to join a seasoned Portfolio Manager focused on U.S. Restaurants. This is a unique opportunity to work directly with a PM who has been successfully running capital for three years and is making his first hire. The PM has historically preferred to operate independently, so this search is highly selective-he will only move forward for the right person.
The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, a passion for investing, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment. Beyond technical ability, cultural fit is paramount: we're looking for someone who is personable, collaborative, and brings a sense of humor to the table.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct deep fundamental research on U.S. restaurant companies, including financial modeling, valuation, and industry analysis.
- Support the PM in idea generation, portfolio construction, and risk management.
- Prepare investment memos and presentations for internal discussions.
- Monitor industry trends, competitive dynamics, and macroeconomic factors impacting the sector.
Qualifications
- Experience: 2 years in investment banking and 2 years in private equity (or similar high-caliber experience).
- Education: Strong academic pedigree from a top-tier institution.
- Exceptional analytical and modeling skills with a demonstrated ability to synthesize complex information.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Cultural fit: personable, adaptable, and able to bring positive energy to the team.
- Location: Must be based in West Palm Beach, FL or willing to relocate.
