Job Description:

As an analyst, you will drive the identification, evaluation, and monitoring of public therapeutics investment opportunities. The ideal candidate will pair deep scientific training with proven long/short equity experience. Working closely with the portfolio manager, you will contribute to idea generation, fundamental analysis, risk assessment, and portfolio construction in a fast‑paced, performance‑driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct rigorous, science‑driven research on therapeutics companies, including clinical pipelines, mechanistic rationale, trial design, regulatory dynamics, and competitive positioning.
  • Build and maintain detailed financial models and valuations to assess risk/reward and scenario outcomes.
  • Continuously monitor clinical literature, FDA communications, medical meetings, and company‑specific catalysts.
  • Participate in company calls, KOL consultations, conferences, and scientific forums to gather differentiated insights.
  • Generate actionable, well‑supported long and short investment ideas.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to refine high‑conviction theses and support cross‑team scientific understanding.
  • Prepare clear, analytically rigorous materials for internal meetings and portfolio discussions.

Qualifications:

  • PhD or MD required in a life sciences discipline (e.g., biology, immunology, oncology, neuroscience, or related field).
  • 3+ years of long/short equity experience on the buy‑side, with a demonstrated ability to analyze therapeutics assets.
  • Strong scientific foundation with the ability to rapidly evaluate clinical data and mechanistic rationale.
  • Excellent financial modeling, valuation, and fundamental analysis skills.
  • Ability to synthesize complex scientific information into concise, investment‑relevant conclusions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, intellectual curiosity, and desire to contribute meaningfully within a high‑performance investment team.
