Lead Analyst - Application Software (Corporate Credit)

We are seeking a Sector Lead to oversee Application Software credit research within a diversified structured credit platform. This role will own fundamental research across the application software universe, support portfolio construction, and play a critical role in investment decision‑making across CLOs and related vehicles.

The ideal candidate brings deep experience analyzing software issuers from a credit perspective, strong relative‑value judgment, and the ability to lead coverage independently while collaborating closely with Portfolio Managers and senior investment professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead fundamental credit research coverage for the global Application Software sector
  • Analyze leveraged loan, high yield, and private credit issuers with a focus on downside risk, cash flow durability, and capital structure dynamics
  • Develop and maintain detailed financial models, issuer write‑ups, and relative‑value frameworks
  • Present investment recommendations and sector views to Portfolio Managers and investment committees
  • Monitor portfolio holdings and recommend trades, position sizing, and risk adjustments
  • Track sector trends, M&A activity, sponsor behavior, and macro impacts relevant to software credit
  • Engage with management teams, private equity sponsors, and syndicate banks
  • Mentor junior analysts and contribute to the development of best practices across the research team
  • Partner with portfolio management, trading, and risk teams to optimize performance and compliance

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in credit research, leveraged finance, CLO investing, or related roles
  • Demonstrated expertise covering Application Software issuers from a credit perspective
  • Strong understanding of leveraged loan and high yield markets
  • Advanced financial modeling and credit analysis skills
  • Proven ability to generate differentiated investment insights and actionable recommendations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience presenting to senior investment professionals
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or CFA preferred
