As a Junior Quantitative Researcher, you will contribute to the development of predictive models and alpha-generating signals using advanced statistical and machine learning techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research to identify and validate alpha signals across global markets.
- Analyze large, structured and unstructured datasets including market, fundamental, and alternative data.
- Develop and backtest systematic strategies using robust statistical frameworks.
- Collaborate with senior researchers, data engineers, and portfolio managers to refine models and improve performance.
- Build scalable research tools and infrastructure to support strategy development.
- Monitor and evaluate live model performance and adapt strategies as needed.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong programming skills in Python, C++, or similar languages.
- Solid understanding of statistics, probability, and machine learning.
- Experience working with large datasets and data wrangling techniques.
- Familiarity with financial markets and trading concepts is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Education
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in a quantitative discipline such as:
- Mathematics
- Physics
- Computer Science
- Engineering
- Statistics
- Quantitative Finance
Preferred Qualifications
- Internship or academic research experience in quantitative finance or data science.
- Exposure to cloud computing, distributed systems, or high-performance computing environments.
