Junior Execution Trader - Single CIO Hedge Fund
Selby Jennings has partnered with a Hong Kong-based single CIO Asia-focused long/short equity hedge fund in seeking a Junior Execution Trader to join their team.
This opportunity would suit candidates looking to transition from a sell-side trading desk or junior buy-side trading role into an established hedge fund environment with direct exposure to investment decision-makers.
Responsibilities
- Support the execution of equity trades across Asian and US markets
- Monitor liquidity, market developments, and execution quality
- Partner with portfolio managers, senior traders, brokers, operations and compliance teams
- Assist with order management, trade controls, and post-trade analysis
- Contribute to broker management and execution best practices
Requirements
- 1-3 years of relevant trading or execution experience
- Exposure to cash equities, futures, or equity derivatives / swaps
- Strong understanding of market structure and trade life-cycle processes
- SFC licence holder or eligible to obtain one
- Fluency in English and Chinese preferred
- Highly detail-oriented with a strong interest in public markets and investing
