Position Overview
We are seeking a highly driven Vice President to join the Electronics Investment Banking team. The VP will play a critical leadership role in executing M&A transactions, capital raises, and strategic advisory mandates across the electronics, hardware, semiconductor, and broader technology ecosystem. This individual will lead deal execution, manage junior professionals, and serve as a key interface with clients, advisors, and internal stakeholders.
The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, proven transaction experience, and a deep understanding of industry trends across electronics and semiconductors.
Key Responsibilities
Deal Execution & Leadership
- Lead end‑to‑end execution of M&A, debt, and equity financing transactions.
- Oversee valuation analyses, financial modeling, due diligence coordination, and preparation of client deliverables.
- Serve as a primary contact for clients, attorneys, accountants, and other deal participants.
- Drive internal processes, ensuring high-quality deliverables and efficient workflow.
Client Coverage & Industry Insight
- Support senior bankers in cultivating and expanding relationships with corporate clients, private equity firms, and venture-backed companies.
- Conduct in-depth sector research and maintain a strong understanding of electronics, hardware systems, semiconductors, components, and related technologies.
- Develop insights and thematic materials to support business development.
Team Management
- Manage Associates and Analysts, providing guidance, oversight, and mentorship.
- Contribute to hiring, training, and development of junior team members.
Strategic Contribution
- Assist in developing the group's strategic positioning within the electronics and semiconductor ecosystem.
- Support thought leadership initiatives including whitepapers, market updates, and conference materials.
Qualifications
- 6-10+ years of investment banking experience, ideally within technology, electronics, hardware, or semiconductor coverage groups.
- Strong M&A execution experience; comfort managing multiple simultaneous transactions.
- Exceptional financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing junior teams and collaborating cross‑functionally.
- Strong client presence with excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred but not mandatory.
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience working with companies in:
- Semiconductor design, components, or manufacturing
- Hardware systems, consumer electronics, or IoT devices
- Electronics supply chain, EMS/ODM, or advanced manufacturing
- Exposure to both sell‑side and buy‑side M&A processes.
- Experience interfacing with strategic clients and financial sponsors.
