A leading global investment bank is expanding its Restructuring & Special Situations team in Madrid and is seeking a high‑performing Investment Banking Associate to join a market‑leading platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Support in executing complex restructuring, distressed M&A, liability management and special situations mandates.
- Build, review and own advanced financial models, including liquidity forecasts, capital structure analysis, valuation work and scenario modelling.
- Conduct in‑depth credit analysis of distressed or highly leveraged companies.
- Prepare client materials including restructuring options, proposals, and transaction documentation.
- Engage directly with internal and external stakeholders across creditor groups, lenders, regulators, and company management teams.
- Contribute to deal process management from initial diligence through execution.
Required Experience
- 4 years' experience in restructuring, distressed debt, private credit, leveraged finance, or special situations advisory.
- Strong technical background with deep analytical capabilities.
- Proven experience working on complex capital structures or distressed/under performing assets.
- Spanish fluency is essential, with strong English communication skills.
