Investment Analyst (Generalist Equities)

Overview:
A leading long-only investment platform is seeking a Generalist Investment Analyst to join its Hong Kong investment team. Reporting directly to the Head of Hong Kong and Senior Portfolio Manager, the successful candidate will conduct fundamental equity research across sectors and contribute to portfolio performance. The platform offers exceptional internal mobility, enabling investors to remain broad-based generalists or develop into sector specialists over time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct fundamental research and analysis across a broad range of listed equities and industries.
- Develop investment theses through detailed financial modelling, valuation work, and industry analysis.
- Generate high-conviction investment ideas and present recommendations to senior investment professionals.
- Monitor portfolio holdings, earnings releases, and key market developments.
- Support portfolio construction and investment decision-making through rigorous company research.
- Engage with management teams, industry experts, and external research counterparts.
- Maintain comprehensive research coverage and contribute to the broader investment process.
Requirements:
- 2-7 years of investment research experience.
- Broad equity market coverage with the ability to evaluate opportunities across multiple sectors.
- Experience gained from either a buy-side or sell-side investment platform.
- Strong financial modelling, valuation, and fundamental research capabilities.
- Fluent in both English and Chinese.
- Degree from a Tier 1 university with an outstanding academic record.
