Our client (a growing Hedge Fund in NY) is looking to bring on an Investment Analyst with 5+ years of experience covering small cap software names on the buyside. This role offers the opportunity to work on a concentrated portfolio of small cap equities, applying a private equity-style approach to public markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Present Investment Ideas: Conduct in-depth analysis and present well-researched investment opportunities to the investment committee.
- Monitor and Optimize Existing Positions: Continuously evaluate portfolio holdings and identify opportunities to enhance performance.
- Collaborate on Idea Generation: Work closely with the investment committee to contribute to the firm's robust pipeline of investment ideas.
- Engage with Portfolio Companies: Build and nurture relationships with management teams, fostering partnerships to create long-term value.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Relevant Experience: A minimum of 5+ years of experience on the buyside covering Software (small cap)
- Strong Analytical Expertise: Exceptional financial modeling skills and a demonstrated ability to dissect complex financial data.
- Clear and Persuasive Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively articulate analysis and investment recommendations.
- Investment Mindset: A genuine passion for high-conviction investing
- A Bachelor's degree is required; advanced credentials (e.g., CFA, MBA) are a plus but not mandatory.
