Independent Price Verification
Company Summary: Our client is one of the world's largest independent energy and commodities trading groups. As they continue to grow, they are looking for an Independent Price Verification Analyst to support their risk & compliance function and validate the market value of complex physical and financial commodity portfolios.
The IVP Analyst will be responsible for:
- Verifying front-office trading valuations against independent market data sources (e.g. Bloomberg)
- Analyzing and reporting daily and monthly PnL movements, ensuring disparities between front and back office are resolved
- Partnering closely with trading, middle office, and operations teams to manage risk profile within predefined company limits
Job Qualifications:
- 5-15 years of experience in valuations, pricing, or related middle office function
- Strong understanding of physical and financial power markets
- Hands-on experience with Endur
- Advanced technical and mathematical skills, and proficiency with financial data terminals (Bloomberg/Reuters)
- Capability to work in and adapt to a team environment with changing demands
