Head of Treasury Risk Advisory
A top American Investment Bank experiencing tremendous growth, is currently looking for a Head of Market & Treasury Risk Advisory to oversee and drive strategic initiatives across Capital, Market, and Liquidity Risk reporting directly to the Chief Financial Risk Officer.
This is a highly visible leadership opportunity, ideal for someone who enjoys operating at the intersection of capital, liquidity, treasury, and market risk, and wants to drive meaningful change in a fast-evolving environment.
In this position, you'll build and lead a cross-functional team focused on enhancing Market Risk Management execution, capital oversight, and governance frameworks across the bank. This is not a siloed role, you'll act as a central connector across risk disciplines, working closely with Treasury, ALM, Liquidity, and broader Risk teams to ensure consistency, transparency, and strategic alignment across the balance sheet.
Responsibilities:
- Drive enhancements to capital planning and adequacy processes, ensuring strong alignment with CCAR and evolving regulatory expectations
- Lead efforts to simplify and strengthen governance frameworks, improving clarity and coordination across 1LOD and 2LOD
- Partner across Market Risk, Treasury, Liquidity, and Capital teams to deliver cohesive risk management frameworks
- Play a key role in regulatory interactions, ensuring the bank continues to meet prudential standards and internal policy requirements
- Contribute to high-priority transformation projects that are redefining how risk is measured, managed, and governed across the firm
- Represent the function in senior management and risk committees, providing credible challenge and insight on key decisions
Qualifications:
- ~10+ years' experience across capital markets, risk management, or regulatory oversight
- Strong knowledge of CCAR, Basel frameworks, capital policy
- Experience spanning multiple risk areas - ideally including Treasury, Liquidity, Capital, and Market Risk
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence senior stakeholders
- Comfortable operating in complex, fast-paced, and highly matrixed environments
- Advanced degree in Finance, Economics, Risk, or a related field
