About the Opportunity
On behalf of an international real estate investment organization, we are seeking a hands‑on, analytically strong, and detail‑oriented Fund Controller. In this role, you will take ownership of financial reporting, consolidation, regulatory submissions, tax processes, and multi‑entity fund administration across a range of real estate investment structures.
Role Overview
As Fund Controller, you will support the period‑end process, produce quarterly and annual fund reports, and ensure accurate, compliant financial information across several investment vehicles. You will work closely with senior controllers and various internal stakeholders, acting as a key link between the business, treasury, payments, and oversight teams.
Key Responsibilities
Produce quarterly and annual period‑end reports, including full financial statements.
Consolidate financial data and perform analytical reviews of figures prepared by internal teams.
Prepare income statements, balance sheets, liquidity forecasts, and supporting schedules.
Manage bank and intercompany reconciliations and ensure accurate fund‑level cash flow planning.
Communicate extensively with internal and external stakeholders regarding reporting and analysis.
Support VAT declarations and participate in CIT‑related processes.
Prepare regulatory filings and submissions (including local regulators and chambers of commerce).
Support fund audits, AIFMD depository reviews, and SOC1 processes on a periodic basis.
Contribute to financial systems design, implementation, and process improvements.
Candidate Profile
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Economics, or a related field; progress toward CPA/ACCA/CA is a plus.
4+ years of relevant experience, ideally within fund accounting, financial services, or a Big 4 environment.
Solid experience with consolidation, VAT and CIT processes, and preparation of annual/quarterly financial reports.
Familiarity with financial ratios related to real estate investments is preferred.
Strong knowledge of IFRS and general accounting principles.
Accurate, independent, proactive, and comfortable working in a collaborative team environment.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Dashboard, experience with Workiva is an advantage.
Fluent English required; Dutch language skills are preferred.
