Finance Director / CFO, Public Markets
- Lead and own the finance function for the APAC public markets business, covering Singapore, Hong Kong, and China
- Act as the senior finance partner locally, supporting senior stakeholders and the investment team across finance, reporting, governance, and business planning matters
- Manage and develop a lean finance team, with scope to build out the function as the platform continues to grow
- Oversee fund finance operations, including NAV oversight, valuation governance, investor reporting, management reporting, and financial controls
- Coordinate closely with fund administrators, auditors, advisors, and external service providers to ensure timely and accurate reporting
- Oversee audits, regulatory reporting, compliance-related finance processes, and internal control frameworks
- Strengthen finance processes, documentation, and governance standards as the business scales across the region
- Partner with senior stakeholders across the investment platform to support portfolio oversight, operational execution, and longer-term planning
- Provide commercial input on fund structures, scalability, operational improvements, and finance-related business decisions
- Communicate financial matters clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders in a senior, practical, and commercially relevant manner
Requirements for the Finance Director / CFO, Public Markets:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics or a related field
- Around 9 to 12 years of relevant finance experience, ideally within asset management, hedge funds, family offices, public markets platforms or investment environments
- Strong hands-on finance background across fund finance, controllership, financial reporting, audits, controls, and external service provider management
- Prior experience working with fund administrators, auditors, advisors, investors, and senior internal stakeholders
- Exposure to public markets, open-ended fund structures, equities, multi-asset strategies or investment platforms would be preferred
- Experience operating across APAC or multi-jurisdictional environments would be advantageous
- Big 4 to buy-side backgrounds, or finance professionals from investment platforms with strong operational finance exposure, would be well aligned
- Mandarin capability would be beneficial but is not essential
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders and investment teams
- Hands-on, pragmatic, adaptable, and comfortable operating in a lean environment with broad ownership
- Commercially minded, detail-oriented, and motivated by long-term platform building rather than title alone
