Key Responsibilities:
- Execute equity trades in US markets, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Monitor market trends, news, and economic data to make informed trading decisions.
- Develop and implement trading strategies to maximise profitability and manage risk.
- Analyse market conditions and identify trading opportunities.
- Maintain and update trading models and algorithms.
- Collaborate with research analysts and other team members to gather and interpret market intelligence.
- Manage and optimise trading portfolios, ensuring alignment with investment objectives.
- Prepare and present regular performance reports to senior management.
- Stay updated on industry developments, regulatory changes, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA) is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in equity trading, with a focus on US markets.
- Strong understanding of market micro structure, trading platforms, and financial instruments.
- Proficiency in using trading software and tools (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters, trading algorithms).
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and make quick, informed decisions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
