Overview
Our client, a leading global financial institution is seeking a highly experienced Director / Executive Director to join its Financing Sales franchise, focused on originating and structuring bespoke financing solutions for UK‑based Hedge Funds and Private Credit clients. The successful candidate will drive client engagement across alternative asset managers, providing strategic financing products spanning asset‑backed, fund‑level and capital‑markets-linked structures.
This role is suited to a senior financing specialist with a strong track record in structured lending, fund financing, or ABS/ABF markets, and deep relationships across the UK alternatives landscape.
Key Responsibilities
Client Coverage & Origination
- Lead coverage of UK Hedge Funds, Private Credit funds, and alternative asset managers, identifying opportunities to deliver innovative financing solutions.
- Originate, structure and execute bilateral and syndicated financing transactions across the capital structure.
- Develop a deep understanding of client strategies, portfolio composition, liquidity needs, leverage requirements, and risk appetite.
- Act as a strategic partner to clients, delivering market intelligence, comparative financing analysis and trade structuring insights.
Product & Structuring Expertise
Coverage across a broad financing toolkit including, but not limited to:
- Asset‑Backed Lending (ABL)
- NAV Financing / Hybrid fund financing
- Levered Notes & SPV Note Issuance
- Asset‑Backed Financing (ABF) & ABS‑related opportunities
- Repo and reverse‑repo structures
- Collateral swaps / transformation trades
- Total Return Swaps (TRS)
- Customised fund‑level or asset‑level facilities
