Credit Analyst, VP (International Bank)
CLIENT BACKGROUND
Our client is a corporate bank serving mid-cap corporate clients in Hong Kong. This newly created position will work closely with a senior Commercial Banking Relationship Manager, supporting credit assessment, transaction execution, and portfolio management.
JOB RESPONSIBILITY
- Partner with Relationship Managers to prepare credit proposals for new and existing clients.
- Conduct financial, cash-flow, industry, and credit-risk analysis.
- Recommend appropriate facility structures, terms, covenants, and risk-mitigation measures.
- Produce clear and well-supported credit applications in English for approval.
- Manage annual reviews, renewals, amendments, waivers, and related credit submissions.
- Monitor portfolio quality and identify early warning signals or emerging risks.
- Coordinate with Credit Risk, Legal, Compliance, and Operations to facilitate timely approvals and execution.
- Ensure all submissions comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and deadlines.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of relevant credit experience within commercial or corporate banking.
- Experience assessing mid-cap corporate clients and preparing credit proposals.
- Strong financial analysis, credit structuring, and risk-assessment capabilities.
- Excellent written English, as credit proposals are prepared in English.
- Fluent or native-level Mandarin is essential.
