About the Opportunity

A highly successful investment platform is seeking a Corporate Access professional to join its front-office team in New York. The organization manages capital across multiple investment strategies and maintains a significant presence in global public markets. The investment team combines deep fundamental research with data-driven insights to identify opportunities across sectors and geographies.

This role will serve as a key liaison between investment professionals, corporate issuers, and the brokerage community, helping coordinate meaningful interactions that enhance research efforts and support investment decision-making. The position offers significant visibility across the investment organization and external market participants.

Key Responsibilities

Corporate Engagement & Event Management

  • Coordinate and oversee the scheduling of company meetings, management presentations, site visits, conferences, and investor events.
  • Manage the logistics and execution of corporate access initiatives across multiple investment teams.
  • Develop processes to prioritize engagement opportunities based on investment objectives and research needs.

Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate investor relations teams, executive management teams, and brokerage partners.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for external stakeholders and represent the investment platform professionally in the marketplace.
  • Cultivate new issuer relationships and expand access to relevant management teams globally.

Broker Strategy & Vendor Oversight

  • Partner with brokerage firms to maximize access opportunities and ensure alignment with the investment team's priorities.
  • Participate in discussions surrounding broker evaluation, budget allocation, and service effectiveness.
  • Assist in negotiating and managing external relationship agreements where appropriate.

Strategic Planning & Reporting

  • Monitor corporate access activity, spending, and engagement metrics.
  • Develop reporting and analytics to evaluate the effectiveness and impact of corporate access efforts.
  • Help establish scalable frameworks for corporate engagement planning and resource allocation.

Market Presence & Brand Development

  • Enhance the firm's profile among corporates and sell-side partners.
  • Support initiatives designed to strengthen the firm's reputation as a thoughtful and engaged institutional investor.
  • Develop outreach strategies that foster long-term relationships within the investment community.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable operating at the intersection of investing, relationship management, and business strategy. They should be able to:

  • Build credibility with portfolio managers, analysts, and senior investment professionals.
  • Effectively engage with investor relations teams and corporate executives to facilitate productive interactions.
  • Advocate for the firm's interests when working with brokers and external service providers.
  • Establish thoughtful frameworks for evaluating and prioritizing corporate access opportunities.
  • Communicate the value of corporate engagement programs and navigate commercial discussions confidently.
  • Represent the organization with professionalism, maturity, and strong judgment.

Candidate Profile

  • 4+ years of relevant experience within corporate access, investor relations, equity research, capital markets, or institutional investing.
  • Experience on either the buy side or sell side is required; prior corporate access experience is highly preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities and a relationship-driven approach.
  • Proven ability to influence outcomes and negotiate effectively with external parties.
  • High level of professionalism, executive presence, and organizational skills.
  • Exposure to marketing, communications, or brand-building initiatives is advantageous.
  • Based in New York or willing to relocate to the area.
