We're supporting a leading global investment bank seeking a Front Office Trading Support / C# Developer to join their Equities technology team. This is a high-visibility role sitting directly alongside traders and structures, responsible for supporting and enhancing business-critical trading and pricing applications.
This position combines hands-on development with daily interaction across the trading floor, making it ideal for someone who enjoys operating at the intersection of technology and financial markets.
Responsibilities:
- Support, maintain and enhance front-office trading and pricing applications
- Develop and improve tools used by Equities traders and structuring teams
- Work across pricing, market data, risk parameters, PnL and trading support platforms
- Troubleshoot production issues in a fast-paced trading environment
- Engage directly with traders to understand requirements and deliver solutions
- Contribute to new functionality, application enhancements and platform stability
Skills required:
- Strong commercial experience developing in C# / .NET
- Experience building WPF desktop applications
- Web application and REST API development experience
- Exposure to Excel Add-In development would be highly beneficial
- Strong problem-solving and production support capabilities
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a real-time trading environment
- Strong understanding of Equities and Equity Derivatives, particularly options
- Experience supporting front-office users, trading desks or structuring teams
- Knowledge of pricing tools, market data platforms and trading workflows
- Ability to bridge the gap between technology and business stakeholders
Ideal background:
- 5+ years' experience within financial services technology
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline
- Strong technical engineering capability combined with financial markets knowledge
- Previous experience in Front Office trading support or trading application development
