Associate, Trade Finance Operations
Key Responsibilities
- Execute day‑to‑day Trade Finance operations, including Letters of Credit, Guarantees, Documentary Collections, and Supply Chain Finance, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Ensure all operational activities adhere to applicable procedures, regulatory requirements, and legal standards.
- Manage incoming and outgoing enquiries, instructions, and physical documentation with clients and counterparties in line with service level standards.
- Coordinate with internal teams to support pre‑transaction validation and post‑transaction monitoring.
- Collaborate effectively across teams and branches to ensure timely task completion.
- Perform reconciliations and investigate or follow up on exceptions and unusual transactions.
- Maintain and update operational procedures and actively contribute to process optimization.
- Support operational projects, new product launches, BAU changes, and procedure development.
- Provide backup support to other Operations or Branch functions when required.
- Participate in internal and external audits and assist with ad‑hoc assignments as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
- 8-12 years of solid experience in Trade Finance Operations
- Hands‑on exposure to SWIFT, trade finance systems, and sanctions screening.
- Strong knowledge of UCP, ISP, URDG, URC, ISBP, and other ICC rules.
- Self‑motivated, able to work independently, and comfortable handling tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
- Fluency in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).
