Key Responsibilities:
- Design and build AI-powered tools to improve productivity across the investment team
- Develop LLM-based applications (e.g. research assistants, summarisation tools, data extraction systems)
- Identify high-impact workflows and automate processes through rapid prototyping and iteration
- Build and maintain a unified data platform integrating both structured and unstructured datasets
- Architect scalable AI infrastructure, including model serving, vector databases, and deployment pipelines
- Establish governance, security, and compliance frameworks for AI systems
- Partner with investment professionals to explore AI-driven idea generation and decision support
- Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and integrate relevant innovations into the platform
Key Requirements:
- Strong experience building and deploying LLM-based applications in production environments
- Deep knowledge of agentic systems, RAG workflows, prompt engineering, and evaluation frameworks
- Full-stack engineering capabilities (APIs, backend systems, CI/CD, and basic front-end interfaces)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), including compute, storage, and networking
- Understanding of LLM infrastructure (model serving, GPU usage, vector databases, inference optimisation)
- Strong data engineering skills, including building pipelines and structuring unstructured data
- Experience designing scalable, secure systems with attention to governance and data protection
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work directly with non-technical stakeholders
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a bias toward ownership and outcomes
Nice to Have:
- Exposure to financial markets, asset management, or investment research workflows
- Experience within a trading firm, hedge fund, or data-driven investment environment
- Familiarity with financial data providers and alternative datasets
- Contributions to open-source AI projects or published technical work
