About the Role
As part of the Actuarial Development Program, you'll work on projects that shape pricing, risk management, and financial projections for health-related products. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver insights that drive profitability and strategic growth.
What You'll Do
- Aggregate and analyze data to support experience studies and develop assumptions for pricing and risk analysis.
- Construct health-related assumptions (e.g., morbidity, utilization) and collaborate with underwriting and marketing to understand client needs and product structures.
- Build and maintain actuarial models for profit testing, reserving, and economic capital calculations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Support financial projections and in-force management through advanced modeling tools.
- Assist with coding enhancements, testing, and documentation for actuarial systems.
- Prepare exhibits for regulatory reporting across multiple frameworks.
- Contribute to modernization efforts by leveraging predictive analytics and data science tools.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or related field.
- 2-6 years of actuarial experience, ideally with a focus on health insurance or reinsurance.
- Progress toward ASA or FSA designation
- Strong analytical and data manipulation skills; proficiency in Excel and VBA.
- Familiarity with actuarial modeling software (e.g., Prophet, RiskAgility FM) and data analytics tools (R, SQL) is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
