About the Opportunity
On behalf of a fast-growing international e-commerce organization, we are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant accounting across multiple international entities. This role is critical to maintaining clean ledgers, reliable data, and audit-ready financials that support a high-quality month-end close.
Role Overview
As Accounting Specialist, you will execute and oversee core accounting processes, working closely with offshore teams and internal stakeholders to deliver accurate results. You will play a key role in ensuring data integrity, supporting audits, and driving process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and execute the month-end close process, reviewing work from offshore teams and resolving issues promptly.
- Ensure accurate recording and reconciliation of intercompany transactions; perform matching procedures to maintain data integrity.
- Work with consolidation tools (Jedox) to validate data accuracy; prepare variance analyses and clear explanations for irregularities.
- Prepare audit-ready schedules, including draft financial statements, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
- Respond to auditor requests professionally and within deadlines.
- Utilize ERP systems (SAP), BI dashboards (Looker), and reconciliation tools; contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives.
Candidate Profile
- 3+ years of accounting experience in a multi-entity or multinational environment.
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping, month-end close, and intercompany flows.
- Working knowledge of IFRS or local GAAP.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and solid Excel skills.
- Ability to apply accounting policies in practical scenarios.
- Strong documentation skills, attention to detail, and disciplined approach.
