Accounting Manager - Financial Services (Nashville, TN)
A growing financial services company in Nashville is seeking an Accounting Manager to support expanding lending operations. This role is ideal for someone with experience in equipment financing, commercial lending, or borrowing base environments. The position focuses on accurate accounting, financial reporting, and supporting funding activities for a fast‑growing credit platform.
Responsibilities
Perform monthly and quarterly close processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
Manage accounting for loans, leases, and other lending products under U.S. GAAP.
Maintain loan and lease sub-ledgers and ensure accurate general ledger reporting.
Support borrowing base reporting, covenant tracking, collateral reconciliations, and related funding requests.
Assist with warehouse facilities, liquidity management, and financial reporting packages.
Support audits and help document and improve accounting policies and controls.
Partner with FP&A on budgeting, forecasting, and portfolio performance analysis.
Work closely with credit, servicing, treasury, and capital markets teams to improve data accuracy and operational processes.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
5 plus years of accounting or finance experience.
Experience in equipment finance, commercial lending, asset-based lending, or borrowing base environments.
Strong understanding of GAAP, loan and lease accounting, and financial statement preparation.
Advanced Excel skills including modeling and data analysis.
CPA or progress toward certification is a plus.
Experience with warehouse facilities, ABS, covenant compliance, or securitization is preferred.
Familiarity with NetSuite, loan or lease servicing systems, or Salesforce is helpful.
