C++ Software Engineer
A systematic trading team at an established proprietary trading firm is looking for a C++ Software Engineer to help them expand into new markets. In this role, you'll work closely with senior engineers, quantitative researchers, and traders to develop robust, scalable software that supports strategy development, market analysis, and trade execution. This is a hands-on engineering role with direct exposure to the full lifecycle of trading systems-from data ingestion and modeling to execution and monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain C++ components that support trading, research, and analytics workflows.
- Collaborate with quantitative researchers and traders to understand requirements and translate them into reliable, maintainable software.
- Build tools and infrastructure for data processing, strategy simulation, and trade execution.
- Contribute to the design of systems that are scalable, testable, and easy to extend as trading needs evolve.
- Investigate and resolve production issues in partnership with trading and research teams.
Qualifications
- 2-5 years of experience programming in C++ day-to-day
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, and software design principles.
- Experience developing in Linux environments, including debugging and profiling.
- Familiarity with multithreading, networking, or performance tuning in real-world applications.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset, especially when working with non-engineering stakeholders.
