Private Equity Associate
We are currently representing one of the highest performing Private Equity shops based in Washington, DC as they look to add a Private Equity Associate to their team this year. Sitting within the technology vertical, the team has raised several funds and has great working relationships with their portfolio companies. This opportunity lends the Private Equity Associate the unique chance to not only focus on deal sourcing and execution, but work hands on with portfolio companies and management teams.
Additionally, the Private Equity Associate seat comes with truly fantastic runway to grow long-term. The Private Equity Associate will be able to reach Sr. Associate, Vice President, ect promotions within the firm.
Private Equity Associate Responsibilities:
- Help drive all stages of the investment process, including sourcing, diligence, structuring, and portfolio management, with a focus on companies in the consumer space.
- Collaborate closely with the senior leadership team members to analyze and execute transactions.
- Develop and maintain industry relationships to generate proprietary deal flow
- Help lead deal-related analysis, financial modeling, and presentations for investment committee review.
Private Equity Associate Qualifications:
- Top-tier college degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or Accounting is preferred but not required
- Two to three years of investment banking experience (technology or software experience preferred)
- Superior modeling, problem-solving, analytical, and research skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including ability to interact thoughtfully with portfolio company management teams
- Ability to work independently, multi-task, and meet demanding deadlines
- Ties to the Washington, DC
