Location: NYC
Compensation: 150-200k base
I am currently partnered with a trading firm that is looking to build out its Operational Risk team by bringing on an Operational Risk Manager to their office in New York.
Ideal candidates have 5+ years of experience within the Operational Risk space within the financial services industry, and are well versed in working closely with markets facing business units. In this role, the Operational Risk Manager will act as an individual contributor, and be responsible for working closely with business stakeholders to help facilitate the execution and further development of the firm's Operational Risk framework.
Responsibilities:
- Execute and further develop the Operational Risk framework including RCSAS, testing control design and effectiveness, analyzing/monitoring operational incidents and KRIs
- Aid in the development of risk remediation plans, taking a proactive approach to risk management
- Oversee vendor risk, business continuity, and third party controls - Ensuring accurate data and reporting
- Create risk dashboards and reports to share with business leadership
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in Operational Risk Management, or another related role, within the financial services industry
- Strong familiarity overseeing ORM for markets-facing business units including trading
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate complex issue to business stakeholders
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Relevant certifications preferred
