VP Regulatory Affairs
We're partnering with a globally established investment bank with a strong European footprint and a central hub in Amsterdam. The firm supports a wide range of institutional and corporate clients across multiple markets and is known for its robust governance framework, international collaboration, and long-term approach to client relationships.
They are currently looking to hire a Vice President - Regulatory Affairs to strengthen their regulatory function.
This is a highly visible role with regular interaction across senior stakeholders and regulators, both locally and across the wider European network.
The opportunity
As VP Regulatory Affairs, you will play a key role in managing the firm's relationships with its primary regulator in the Netherlands, as well as with supervisory authorities across its branch network. The role offers strong exposure across regulatory affairs, compliance, and cross-border operations.
Key responsibilities
- Support day-to-day interaction with regulators across the Netherlands and wider European branch network
- Coordinate regulatory inspections, on-site visits, and information requests (RFIs), including the collection and submission of materials
- Track and manage the regulatory agenda, including open actions, timelines, and deliverables
- Maintain accurate records of all regulatory interactions and ensure proper documentation is in place
- Support reporting into internal governance forums, including Compliance and Risk-related committees
- Assist in coordinating regular updates with international branches to monitor local regulatory developments
- Contribute to regulatory change initiatives and help align internal stakeholders across jurisdictions
- Maintain and update relevant policies, procedures, and internal frameworks where required
Your profile
- 6+ years of experience in regulatory affairs, compliance, legal, or a related function within financial services or professional services
- Strong understanding of European regulatory frameworks and supervisory expectations
- Experience engaging directly with regulators and managing regulatory submissions
- Highly organised, with the ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders and workstreams
- Comfortable operating within an international, matrixed environment
- Exposure to ECB supervision or cross-border regulatory frameworks is a plus
