Vice President of Accounting

VP of Accounting Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee the month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close process across the holding company and all operating entities.
  • Ensure accurate, timely preparation of consolidated financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
  • Maintain the chart of accounts, accounting policies, and reporting frameworks to support scale and standardization across the portfolio.
  • Oversee consolidation of multi‑entity, multi‑location financials, including intercompany eliminations and consolidation entries.
  • Prepare Board, lender, and investor reporting packages with high quality, accuracy, and insight.
  • Partner directly with the private equity sponsor on reporting requirements, debt compliance, KPI dashboards, and financial transparency.
  • Ensure timely completion of covenant calculations, borrowing base certificates, and other lender deliverables.
  • Support PE value‑creation initiatives, including margin expansion, working capital optimization, and EBITDA improvements.
  • Provide financial leadership during strategic planning processes in coordination with the CFO.

VP of Accounting Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA strongly preferred.
    • 10-15+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience.
    • Experience in a private‑equity‑backed, roll‑up, or multi‑entity environment strongly preferred.
    • Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards.
    • Hands‑on experience with acquisition integration, purchase accounting, and technical accounting matters.
    • Proven experience leading a high‑performance accounting team in a fast‑paced environment.
    • Strong systems experience (ERP implementation, consolidation tools, automation tools).
    • Excellent communication skills - able to convey complex accounting topics to executives, PE sponsors, and non‑finance stakeholders.
    • Ability to operate with urgency, drive results, and thrive in a high‑growth, evolving environment.
