Treasury Quant Researcher
The Treasury Quantitative Research team is responsible for shaping the firm's approach to balance sheet management, liquidity, and funding optimization. The team develops analytical frameworks and quantitative models to support capital allocation, inventory management, and cash deployment decisions across a global platform.
Working closely with Treasury and engineering partners, this role focuses on building scalable models, infrastructure, and analytics to enhance data-driven decision-making within the Treasury function.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop quantitative models to optimize balance sheet usage, capital allocation, and inventory management across asset classes
- Partner with global Treasury and engineering teams on strategic initiatives and platform development
- Design and implement optimization frameworks across areas such as FX exposure management, collateral allocation, and liquidity forecasting
- Own the end-to-end lifecycle of quantitative models, including research, development, validation, monitoring, and performance evaluation
- Drive improvements in automation, tooling, and data workflows
- Collaborate with stakeholders across investment, financing, and risk teams to deliver insights on balance sheet utilization and funding strategy
Qualifications
- Master's degree or PhD in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline from a leading university
- ~5+ years of experience in quantitative research, analytics, Treasury, portfolio finance, prime brokerage, or a related function within a top-tier financial institution
- Strong programming skills in Python, with experience building production-grade quantitative tools and scalable data solutions
- Proven ability to work with large, complex datasets and develop robust analytical frameworks
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical concepts to a range of stakeholders
- Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with APAC markets and financing structures is advantageous
