Job Title: Trade Operations Associate
Location: Greenwich, CT (on-site)
Salary: $150k - $200k + bonus
Summary:
We are partnered with a top quantitative investment firm that is seeking a skilled trade operations professional to join their expanding team. In this role, you will manage daily workflows with the expectation of enhancing them. Upon mastering the systems, you will become a domain expert in high-frequency trading (T and T+1 workflow). The ideal candidate will lead critical projects to streamline processes and scale the business.
The Trade Operations Associate will be responsible for:
- Monitor live orders and ensure EMS/PMS accuracy during trading sessions.
- Evaluate order impact on portfolio metrics and risk, allocating orders among clearing brokers to optimize margin and identify favorable offsets.
- Reconcile trades, positions, PnL, commissions, and stock borrow. Resolve systemic issues and non-routine breaks with counter-parties.
- Identify upcoming corporate actions and trading restrictions, assessing their implications.
- Conduct ad-hoc analyses, such as trading hours by security, broker algorithms, and the value of exchange seats.
- Fully automate processes without compromising efficacy and reliability.
- On-board new brokers and securities, contributing to the launch of new strategies.
The Trade Operations Associate should have the following qualifications and skills:
- Bachelors in computer science, Economics, or Math from a top University
- 1-3 years of experience at a quantitative shop or within high-frequency trading
- Proficient in Python, Bash, Git and VBA
