The Opportunity

We are partnered with a high-growth financial services organization seeking an SVP of Capital Markets to lead its secondary market strategy across a diversified commercial lending portfolio.

This individual builds institutional distribution channels, executes complex capital markets transactions, and supports liquidity, portfolio growth, and balance sheet efficiency. The role partners closely with origination, underwriting, credit, treasury, and senior leadership to shape pricing, transaction structures, and broader portfolio strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive capital markets and secondary loan distribution strategy.
  • Build relationships with institutional investors, insurance companies, pension funds, REITs, banks, CMBS conduits, and other capital providers.
  • Structure and execute whole loan sales, forward-flow arrangements, participations, securitizations, and related transactions.
  • Partner with origination and underwriting teams to improve loan marketability, transaction structures, and pricing.
  • Monitor investor demand, market conditions, and pricing trends to provide actionable guidance to senior leadership.
  • Manage relationships with investors, rating agencies, legal counsel, and other external transaction parties.
  • Collaborate with Credit, Legal, Compliance, Finance, Treasury, and Portfolio Management to ensure efficient execution.
  • Build scalable capital markets processes, reporting standards, and operating infrastructure.
  • Ensure transactions comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and investor guidelines.

Candidate Profile

  • 10+ years of experience in commercial real estate capital markets, loan distribution, structured finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience executing whole loan sales, participations, securitizations, or similar capital markets transactions.
  • Established network of institutional investors, banks, insurance companies, CMBS conduits, and other capital providers.
  • Strong understanding of commercial real estate credit, loan structuring, pricing, and secondary market execution.
  • Demonstrated ability to build scalable programs and manage complex, cross-functional transactions.
  • Excellent communication, relationship management, and presentation skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Willingness to travel as required.

Location

This position is based in Fort Lee, New Jersey, and requires regular in-office presence. Candidates should be based in or willing to relocate to the surrounding New York metropolitan area.

Compensation

The opportunity offers a competitive executive-level base salary, performance-based incentives, and a comprehensive benefits package.
